BACKGROUND: Author, writer, editor, educator, fact-checker, and journalism startup founder with 20 years of professional experience. I’ve ghostwritten and collaborated with NYT bestselling professionals, medical providers, academics, artists, and CEOs. I’ve managed marketing campaigns, awareness initiatives, and community health patient education programs. I have 10+ years of experience in graphic design and audio/visual arts (primarily as a speech and scriptwriter).

EDUCATION: I have two degrees in clinical nutrition science and biochemistry (BS, MS). I am a PhD candidate in clinical nutrition, with concentrations in health equity and disability studies. I have subspecialties in neuroscience, public health, nutrition for vulnerable populations, and ethics.

RESEARCH: My doctoral research examines clinical perceptions, marketing practices, and verbiage used in communications to people with multiple sclerosis and complex chronic illness. I also explore cultural and social perspectives about chronic illness, disability, and autoimmune disease, with a focus on how to elevate dignity, ethics, and patient-provider relationships.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY: Clients and colleagues praise my extreme attention to detail, work ethic, commitment to exceeding expectations, and empathetic, inclusive perspective. My ability to embody the voice and persona for collaborative and ghostwritten projects is the top reason why clients work with me long-term and for repeat projects.

TOP SKILLS: Finding vital nuance in messaging, translating complex topics into engaging content, mastering project voice/tone, and communicating sensitive topics to vulnerable populations with dignity and respect.
